This was an interesting style of book, one that I don't typically pick up. Literary fiction isn't a genre I commonly read from but I was interested in this book and decided to pick it up. I wasn't disappointed but I think that it is just not my type of genre. It kind of reminded me of House on Mango Street.

The most difficult thing about the book is the way that the point of view would change within a sentence. Listening to the audiobook, I would be so confused as the POV would change 10 times or more per chapter. If it the book was structured more like vignettes, it would feel less shocking as a reader but because it just randomly changes, it removed me from the story every time and was sometimes hard to re-immerse myself in the story.
