This was a nice conclusion to one of the most intriguing and unique stories I've ever read. Phedre's character arc was completely satisfying, and I will miss her quick wit and sense of humor in the future installments. I have to admit, Joscelin fell flat and it seemed like his arc ended during the last book. I also have to admit that I sort of checked out of that relationship once they started getting too domestic,
big happy foster family, and all.
Other than that, the adventure was fun (other than the VERY dark middle section. I am scarred.) And once again, Jacqueline introduced lovable characters that didn't have nearly enough page time. I like rascally Imriel more than weepy, mushy Imriel. Hoping he hardens up again as a young man. I'm sorry!!!!

I should mention that I have never read a book and saw it playing out in my mind as vividly as I did with these ones. Jacqueline is just a terrific writer. All the roses to her.
