I was drawn in for the beautiful color pallet and interesting cultural representation, but this felt like a quick first draft and not a finished book. None of the characters or their emotions made sense and I’m not quite sure what the plot or main conflict was. I wanted to like this book and feel compelled to rate it higher just for the rep but honestly I think Muslim children deserve better
