Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare
4.0

It’s ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!! Yes storyline significantly got better , pacing as well because I read this one faster than the first one but I have a problem with Tessa/fmc and honestly when I don’t like fmc my reading experience and my rating significantly gets lower because I spent so much time on Tessa’s head and I dislike her. Currently just tolerating for sake of the storyline.

“There is a force and strength in love” (only quote I loved from this book)

Will stole my heart through and through in this one omg my poor baby. My heart broken for him about his sacrifice. I couldn’t predict anything about the mystery of his mask but I exactly knew the outcome of that mystery from the beginning. Such a heartbreaking reality for him! He became my new favorite because we actually got to know him as a character and see behind his behavior so we got to know real William Herondale! He made me truly cry in the end of the book and I understood why he actually loves bland ass Tessa.

Jem ugh I love him but he became such an insignificant character and just became a guy who’s there to love Tessa and create love triangle with tension and angst. I miss his wisdom and it was nowhere to be seen. How he couldn’t see Tessa and Will’s feelings for each others??? I can’t comprehend because he is observant, wise and kind but somehow he can’t see what’s in front of him!? It was weird contrary towards his character. I don’t like it at all. I don’t even understand why he loves Tessa.

Ugh Tessa, I have a strong dislike towards her. She is bland, judgmental, immature and hypocritical. I don’t understand her character even if she is young and living in Victorian era. I don’t see why two boys want her!???

Plot (despite of not much happening) and storyline got significantly better and I enjoyed it much more. We got to see more deeper side of the characters and their romances
