Stay with Me
by Nicole Fiorina
This was originally going to be a 3.5 stars, but the demonization of psychiatric medicine turned me off and brought it to a 2.5.
As someone who has been on many a pharmaceutical, I felt like this has the potential to deter readers from pursuing psychiatric help. I won't go too into depth at the caution of spoilers, but I am worried this could be harmful.
Aside from this the, plot and characters themselves are just alright. I feel like I would have eaten this up when I was younger, but to me the insta-love wasn't believable (even if it was claimed to be due to mental illness). Mia is kind of insufferable, but I guess that's the point.
I felt like all of the huge moments in this book had so much build up and would be over in a page or two.
HOWEVER,
I enjoyed the writing style, and the ending was enough for me to entertain the possibility of continuing the trilogy. We shall see.
