I enjoyed this bit of a mess - there is a lot of political-ness and war strategizing, which I really liked. I began to like Nesta more which was important to me. I'm still not there with Elain, even if she completed a pretty badass move in this book. I think the plot in the beginning with the spring court was a bit extreme, and it was bound to have some unintended consequences that Feyre and Rhys would have to deal with later in the book (like, duh).

I guessed some plot twists. Feyre is powerful, which is super cool, but also, I also feel like a lot of it came out of nowhere. In ACOMAF, she trains with Rhys regularly, primarily for her mind. She soon trains with Cassian for strength, and with Azriel, for other specific reasons I won't give away. But a lot of the time, her power comes out of nowhere. Sometimes, it isn't apparent, and I think for a book so large as this one, I would have liked to see SJM spend more time explaining that (even if brief). For those who want the SPOILER:
I did not understand how she could shift to look like Ianthe – how? When did she figure that out? Did I completely miss something?
Again, I feel like SJM sometimes leaves some stuff out that she previously mentioned, leading to minor continuity errors, or they will pop up randomly in about 200 pages.

This book was set to be my favorite in this series in the beginning. While I still enjoyed it, there was just SO much going on. So many subplots came together, which was honestly too much and somewhat confusing. I still have many questions about what happened there. I don't want to try and explain my confusion because it will most certainly give away MAJOR spoilers.

It just seemed to go downhill after a while, and the ending battle was simply just a lot.
