My Mute Girlfriend
by Himanshu Rai
My Rating : 3.4/5
After getting an admission in 'Electronics and Telecom, RK' in Jabalpur, Rohan, the main character of the story leaves his hometown Sagar to live in a hostel. But his heart is still pining for his old loved one, Navya. After, sessions of ragging, he starts his first semester and meets Vaidehi, a beautiful girl. They meet and then become friends. After meeting her he forgets Navya, who, he later realises he was only attracted towards. But he finally falls in love for Vaidehi. And then starts their cute little love story. But after the vacations he finds out something that he can not understand and he tries to find answers.
This book was cute, light and kind of heartbreaking to read. An Indian love story and a debut novel. The characters are written so beautifully. This book was based on real events. The character Vaidehi was strong and with an attitude. The .ain character Rohan was pretty dramatic. Ending was tragic but beautiful. I got annoyed when author repeated a few words, like "madel" and "adamantum" et cetra. This book had weak vocabulary. It was dramatic and filmy but still this was an amazing read. Those who seek Indian romance, must read this. Totally worth your time.
