Deadly Fear by Cynthia Eden

4.0

I enjoyed this, but was having a little deja-vu because I recently read this author's LOST series, and there are odd similarities with the first book, [b:Broken|22059324|Broken (LOST, #1)|Cynthia Eden|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1410143225s/22059324.jpg|41388496], and the 5th book, [b:Taken|29436317|Taken (LOST, #5)|Cynthia Eden|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1473678691s/29436317.jpg|49704373] ... all three heroines were the sole survivor of a serial killer, and in this particular book, like with Taken, the serial killer likes to mark his victims with a brand / tattoo that claims them as his possession.

It's obviously a story framework that Eden is a big fan of.

Not to say the stories are identical - they aren't - but there were definite moments of deja-vu, and I started to mix up story points from this book and the others, in my head. I think I just read all these similar books too close together...
