Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch by Terry Pratchett, Terry

5.0

My Love for this book is the same as Crowleys & Aziraphales Love for each other ✨ineffable✨

This story does a great job of straddling the line between poignant commentary and humorous levity. The book was almost funnier than the show! *

* Although I will point out that the humor does not always age well. The use of the F* slur against Aziraphale and the stories comfort with racial/ethnic stereotypes for the sake of humor were quite jarring. Thankfully this was rightly fixed in the show**

** The show and the books are true companions. I would suggest reading/watching them together. There are some weaknesses in the book (the aforementioned humor as well as the character of Anathema device) that got a well needed update on the show. Simultaneously the book is perfect to add depth to characters that were underserved by the show.

I loved this book. I was to re read this book. I want to live in this book. I want to drink with Crowley and compare book collections with Aziraphale ♥️

TW: homophobia, violence, gore, sexism.
