Thinking about It Only Makes It Worse
by David Mitchell
funny
informative
slow-paced
I think this book just wasn't for me.
It was recommended to me by a friend, or maybe there's another David Mitchell book my friend meant for me to read, but I read this one. And I didn't love this one. I'll be frank, anyone complain this much for this long gets tedious, so I was a little confused as to how or why he ended up with this book until I learned that it's actually a collect of letters and essays he has written.
That made more sense and I would have known pretty quickly it wouldn't be something I would enjoy then.
Furthermore, this book is old... so the topical references are not so topical anymore.
Anyways, I think that the letters and essays individually are fine, but all at once... outdated and one compliant after another, is not very entertaining. If you adore David Mitchell, you might like this, if you just think he's kind of funny... you might not like this.
