The Chain

Even though I devoured this book in just over 24 hours I have quite mixed feelings about it. The idea of the story I found really fascinating, being that someone’s child gets kidnapped and to get your own child back you must kidnap someone else’s, with it continuing like a chain for ever. I felt like the idea of this was really really good but the book just didn’t blow me away and was somewhat poorly executed. Normally I’m a lover of short chapters but again I just feel like it was unnecessary and there could’ve been half of the amount of chapters. I didn’t dislike the book I just don’t know if I would recommend it and I would definitely not read it again. And even though I love Fleetwood Mac, every time I saw the book cover I had their song the chain in my head for hours
