I Love You So Mochi by Sarah Kuhn

5.0

I usually wouldn’t give 5 stars for a book like this, and just to make it clear, if I give 5 stars easily, so I was surprised to find myself giving this book a top star rating.

This story is about Kimi who is lost in what to do with herself and her life. She has a big argument with her mum, and decides to accept the invite from her Japanese grandparents to go to Kyoto (in Japan). She meets Akira there, and it goes from there.

Although the basis of the story is cliche, the book itself isn’t. It feels original, which is sort of big, coming from a romance book. The characters are very relatable, and the relationship between Kimi and Akira & her grandparents are very heart warming. Reading this won’t blow your mind, but it might tear you up a little, and will warm your heart.
