This book, translated from German, was a quick thriller filler read after a night working at a haunted house.

It absolutely scratched an itch for a twisty little thriller story without being too much of a “mind blower” where I needed to actually think to get through it. Creative plot, good cast of characters. The translation led to a few gaps in flow and a little dialogue stiffness but I can’t hold that against the author, just me for not speaking enough German to read the original. Frankly, I’ll probably grab another one or two from this author.

Great little jumpy read to ring in spooky season!
