Spare Me the Truth by C.J. Carver
5.0

I only bought this book to make up the numbers when I was in The Works recently. There was a three for £5.00 offer on and I had bought a number of Peter May books and was short one to qualify for the offer. I added this one after a cursory glance and I am so glad that I did.

As others have mentioned this story centres on three characters, all of whom I found interesting. Firstly Dan, then Grace and then Lucy. I really enjoyed how the storylines dovetailed together and the link to India and Chitta.

I thought the story was compelling, kept me guessing and was written wonderfully.

I do not know why I have not heard of this author before, but I will be seeking out further works by her. I know there is a sequel to this book and several other storylines to investigate - so I am so pleased that I can immerse myself in more of this writers work.

Thank you C J.
