I was initially hesitant to get this book. I was afraid that a translation, especially a Korean translation, would not be good. The bad reviews I read on here also contributed to that hesitancy. However, this book surprised me and in all honestly, the complaints about this book came off as ... dumb. It's a crime story but... it's really not. It's like... carefully picking at an itchy scab without real knowledge of how the wound was made in the first place. I loved this book. It was short and haunting. However, I recognize that it's a book not everyone will enjoy.
