Such a Quiet Place by Megan Miranda

5.0

I loved this book! Megan Miranda writes such clever psychological thrillers and I think I may have a new favourite of hers. It was a slow burn that builds the intensity. Never quite sure who to trust or believe, it was the perfect escape from lockdown in Sydney. The ending was surprising and really well done. Easily a 5 star read for me.

Why would Ruby Fletcher return to Hollows Falls? 2 years ago she was convicted of murdering her neighbours in this close knit, perfect community but now she is out on a technicality. Her housemate Harper is lost for words when she walks in the door to resume her life. The rest of the residents are scared and worried about what she wants. And so they should be. None of them can be taken at face value and there is alot of gossip and not alot of actual talking to each other.

This is a hard book to put down, you will want to keep turning the pages to find out if she is guilty or not.

Thanks to Allen and Unwin Australia for sending me this advanced copy to read. Publication date in Australia is 3rd August.
