I took my time with this one, savored every moment, I loved this book so much!
first of all, Bella Jay you put your foot into this entire book, the roll out, the cookie & chef theme throughout the book and seeing everything come together, you ate and left no crumbs 🍪.
Yadah & Nelly, shout out to yadah because girl I don't know if I would've lasted that long trying to be professional and not jumping Nelly's bone 😂 The sexual tension, the counting the days, and the inner thoughts had me cracking up.
So many favorite moments within this book, love the pace and progression of their friends with benefit to lovers. it was like watching two people you love, who swear they would never be in a serious relationship fall in love.
I felt all the different emotions throughout this book, i laughed at their friendly banter (Bella you are so funny), the feels watching them fall in the love, felt the emotions when they went through their rift, the tension between friends as a result of keeping secrets, the pain of what Yadah went through, the healing.
The spice babyyyy!! one thing about Nelly, he's gonna eat his Kookie, that strawberry farm scene IYKYK, The bathroom scene, the sunday brunch, the restaurant scene 🥵
Nelly definitely made book boyfriend, because the way he showed up for Yadah without being asked to,because if he wanted to he would(That beach balloon scene)
Yadah was so strong but also so vulnerable, love the therapy sessions, the growing relationship with her parents, the way she poured into Nelly during those nominations and the marathon just wowww.
I was never bored once reading this book, so many layers, and touched on so many topics. Love the balance of career, family, friendships, and of course unconditional love and loyalty.
