I had no idea what this book was about when I picked it up on the "staff recommended" shelf at the library. I had higher hopes when I saw it was a YA horror book. Unfortunately, it didn't really live up to the trigger warning on the first page.

I am not a big fan of the love triangle trope that ends because one of the love interest turn out to have done something unforgivable. It is just so cliche.

How can the main four girls be so blasé, dare I say even cherry, after the whole ordeal? They clearly would need years of therapy for the PTSD. Being a hollow person doesn't alleviate the feelings of guilt and trauma as we saw in the flashbacks (which were the best part of the book), so to be ok with everything mere hours later and go for a cheery ride on a Ferris wheel seems a bit ridiculous.

Also how many times do I have to read about their hair style, clothes, and makeup? That got boring quick.
