booknuts_ 's review for:
It Had to Be You
by Susan Elizabeth Phillips
I remember reading other books in the this series out of order FOREVER ago so I figured I'd read this one.... boo. maybe my tastes of changed.
This started out as an audiobook for me for a long drive to from Idaho to Utah for a photoshoot I was doing (not that, that has anything to do with my review or needed to really be said but whatevs.).
I wasn't a fan of the person who was reading the book but it helped pass the time of the drive. Sadly I feel like that lady who read the book made me dislike the main character.
I literally couldn't stand her. Phoebe needs therapy and I there was nothing I liked about her. Her whole way of life and doing things drove me nuts. I couldn't connect with her on any level and I hated how she was portrayed on paper and through the audiobook.
The story didn't really interest me and there wasn't really any spunk that I remember some of her other books having.
Overall, the book was flat and I didn't care fo it at all like I had with some of her other books.
