michie330 's review for:
The Paper Magician
by Charlie N. Holmberg
I liked parts of this book. Other parts felt really rushed. There are times I really didn't like the main character either.
It took place in 1901 but it didn't feel like 1901. I feel like the setting added nothing to the story especially since it had a very modern feel to it. Actually one thing that bothered me about it taking place in 1901 was that in that time period no unmarried woman would be allowed to live with a man without a chaperone present.
I think this would have been more interesting if it took place in the present; then there would be a real reason for Paper to be outdated. It seemed like Ceony was against Folding just because it bored her.
