The Constant Princess is definitely my favourite book by Philippa Gregory - mainly due to Catherine and Arthur's relationship. Whenever I re-read the book I'm always in love with their love and passion - although I've read many books on the Tudors, I've never really considered Catherine and Arthur to be of much interest. This book completely converted me.
Although yes, their marriage might not have been as Gregory illustrates it in the novel. But it's historical FICTION, and I think her spin on the events is magical.
Please please read this book, it will make you fall in love with the idea of love and remind you why Gregory has the reputation she does.
It's so easy to read that you practically live and breathe the story until the end.
