This looked like it would be superficial, cheesy, and so full of predictable romance tropes that I wondered why I bothered to download it. But to my pleasant surprise, I found the suspense/thriller components here pretty much balance out the romance stuff. There are some sexual descriptions here, but they don't start super early, and the fade-to-black button gets pressed reasonably early on most of the time.

He's an FBI agent; she's a mob princess. (Time for the eye rolling to begin, right?) Alessandra comes across here much brighter and more sympathetic than the average mob princess in books, and the adventures she and the FBI agent have are, by and large, worth the read. The stripper and the second FBI guy in the story make the subplot interesting in some ways.
