The Last Last-Day-of-Summer by Lamar Giles

This took me a while to read because it is not my favorite type of book. However, there are a lot of great things about it. It reminds me a bit of The Phantom Tollbooth, and I liked the characters. It was particularly great that the boys were having an adventure and experiences that were fun and not focused solely on race. It’s a very appealing book and I hope it finds an audience!
