Vigilante Assassin
by Mark Nolan
I recently started reading Vigilante Assassin by Mark Nolan without realizing that it was the second book in a series. But, don't fret. It was a great book that can be read as a standalone.
I love that this book was an action thriller – with a great amount of action. And when I say action, oh boy do I mean it, as full as suspense and mystery.
Let's start with Jake Wolfe and everything that he stands for. Yes, he is a man that has his demons and is constantly fighting them. But he also has honor and is such a likeable and loveable for his commitment to those he deems worthy. And then there's Cody – his war dog. Those two together are more than anything special. And the bond that they share and what they do is amazing.
You see, we meet Lauren Stephens as she wakes up to a missing husband. And in order to find out what is going on, she calls on our Jake.
I absolutely love the story -line. Every single one of the elements that were offered and the side characters. I was very impressed with everything that this book had to offer. I appreciate that it literally had me sitting on the edge of my seat. I love finding books that I can get lost in and keep with me. Because it is exactly what it has done. I'll definitely be reading more from Mark Nolan once I'm done reading whatever is on my TBR pile – because trust, there's quite a lot there. This book was a definite 5 Star Review for me!
