The Distance Between Us by Kasie West
3.0
The Distance Between Us was just what I expected going in. It was a cute but slightly fluffy read about a poor girl trying to find a way to escape the path she thinks is set for her and a rich boy trying to find his way.
The characters were likeable and fun and I liked the way Caymen and Xander's relationship developed. They had a clear chemistry but I like that they were both a bit tentative.
Overall an enjoyable and easy read, if not ultimately a bit forgettable. I felt there could have been a bit more depth, which is what I look for now a days in a YA book to set it apart from the plethora of books out on the shelves.
