I inhaled this book. Spent several nights of my regularly scheduled insomnia thinking about this book. I’m not giving it 5 stars because the beginning was a little slow for me, but once I was in it, I was IN IT. I can’t wait for the second one. Don’t let the drama in the other reviews turn you off from a fun read. Is it high literature? No. But was that what I wanted from a fun fantasy read? Also no. It’s also incredibly satisfying to read a book with bisexual main characters. Thank you, Piper, for writing something with a focus on bisexuality. It’s hard to find that representation. Also people need to chill out about typos and “sentence structure.” Mistakes happen and I don’t want to read something that’s grammatically perfect because, to me, it takes a lot of the art out of it.
