I avoided this book largely because everyone kept telling me how dense the content was, and to whoever kept telling me that… I don’t blame you, I’d gate keep the HELL out of this book too.

This book was GLUED to my hands for a solid 8 hours of my day. The pacing was quick and every little thing flowed into the next so seamlessly. How this novel works in the way it does is so wildly beyond me. I’m just 100% glad I read it, because I have not stopped thinking about it. I looked at the stars earlier and found myself thinking about this book again. I closed my eyes and saw numbers. The world building was Just. That. Good.

Lastly, this book did the wonderous thing of taking science and putting it front and center and going, “HERE, LOOK AT THIS AND UNDERSTAND” all while intertwining history, politics and philosophy.
