The Abduction of Julia by Karen Hawkins

3.0

Meh. I think I'm very near reaching the end of my love affair with chic lit, except for two very favorite authors. This is a fun but very standard period romance about a rake who falls hard for a spunky spinster. The two main characters were well-written and felt real, but the romance was far, far too driven by physical chemistry, and every step of the plot was as expected.
