Kind of a weak basis for the enemies to lovers trope a lot of the book relied on, but the characters were interesting and had real flaws which made the plot make sense, even when it wasn't completely believable. I was rooting for them as a couple for sure. I also enjoyed the representation of Indian culture, which sets it apart from the typical WHITE romance novels. But still, the writing itself is not great, which hurt the book a lot. It was just too cringey for me, and didn't feel realistic.
