Ink Blood Sister Scribe is a captivating contemporary magical story with elements of family, betrayal, and ultimately learning to trust again. I really had a great time reading this book and did not want to stop reading it once I really got into it. The majority of it I read in one day. I will admit that I did predict some of the twists in the book but I was so taken by the plot and characters that I didn’t really mind that much. Additionally, the magic element itself was such an interesting take on how magic is learned, cast, and even felt. A recommend for those seeking out books that are a little spooky, a little funny, but mostly magical.
