This was very good and confusing and kept me up much too long. Thanks to Raincoast Books for an ARC!

I knew very little going into this one besides it was maybe based on Greek mythology? But it’s one that relies on mystery so it’s good to know nothing. Which, of course, makes reviewing it very difficult but I won’t give any part of the story away here (but feel free to skip ahead if you don’t want any influence when you read it).

Suffice to say, I loved it. It’s incredibly confusing from the first page but you quickly get sucked into the story, trying to figure out what’s happening while getting progressively more confused.

This one had big The Magician’s Nephew by C.S. Lewis vibes for me and while I would’ve enjoyed more incorporation of Greek mythology as the cover seemed to promise, it was a very fun read that I’m looking forward to revisiting.
