This was an entertaining read with some aspects that I loved and some that I didn't care for.
I liked reading about their attempt to solve different puzzles and riddles as I love doing with games back home. The nerdy science stuff is my jam and so I was thrilled that it was all throughout the book (I am a STEM major so I love this stuff!). Some parts of the book I would think before reading on to guess what the solution would be and or what the motives were.
While this was an entertaining read, there were some parts I didn't care for. One being this instalove crap. I liked how the two characters were trusting each other all while keeping secrets, but the dynamic between them was great. However, I wish more of the romance was saved for the 2nd book. In the book they do acknowledge they have chemistry which I am fine with, but the romance could be hinted and be pushed late in the 2nd book.
At some points there was some cheesy writing, but I flew threw this book, so it didn't really matter to me.
A fun read with puzzles, clues, and action on another planet is what I like.
