January 1.

Megan Lutz and her trusty K-9, Brigit, are back for the second book in the series.

Megan and Brigit are assigned to the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo which runs for three weeks. Their primary function is PR for the department until the show's patrons are being robbed.

I think that Megan's character has grown in this book. I'm glad she didn't play with her baton as much this time around. That drove me nuts in the last book! I hate the introduction of another possible love interest as I truly dislike the dreaded triangle. I would like to see her relationship with Seth mature. I enjoy the division of the chapters between Megan, Brigit and the "Robin Hood" bandit. Brigit's thought process is amusing and keeps me interested. I would have liked to see a little more of Blast (Seth's dog).

A good solid read.
