I enjoyed Carmilla immensely—it was so well written, with perfect pacing for a little novella. The mystery surrounding Carmilla and her obsessive infatuation with Laura kept me hooked, especially since Laura herself was so naive and easily charmed. The horror elements were subtly crafted, and the gothic atmosphere made it the perfect read on a dreary day. I also love that this story predates Dracula and is, without a doubt, 1000% gayer. For anyone who loves classic horror or gothic fiction, this is an absolute must-read—it’s a little gem that deserves all the attention it gets.
