I ADORED this book..absolutely the best one I've read in the new year. Of the books I have read in the past couple of years, the one thing that they have all had in common is the lack of character development. The story may be great but it is hard to truly love the book without loving the characters. Major Pettigrew's Last Stand absolutely goes above and beyond with excellent character development. I wanted so badly for everything to work out in the end.

And all the minor characters in the village? So ridiculous they were hilarious!
