Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo

Did not finish book. Stopped at 36%.

I’m sorry, but I couldn’t finish. I had had a streak of just average books and I picked this up, got almost 200 pages in, and just couldn’t anymore. It’s really weird because the worldbuilding, characters, and literally everything else is immaculate. However, I didn’t enjoy it. I had skipped over reading six of crows multiple times for years because the plot didn’t sound interesting to me, but eventually I finally sat down to give it a try after shadow and bone and because this duology is all anyone talks about. It just doesn’t hit as well as I expected, even though Leigh Bardugo is a fantastic author. I can see the appeal in this though, so I would still recommend this to anyone who’s interested.
