I really liked the premise of the book, but I ended up not finishing it. The author seemed oddly fixated on hurting the main male character, which felt a bit off. What really lost me, though, was how the domestic violence part was handled—it just didn’t sit right. The romance angle also wasn’t my thing, so overall, it just didn’t work for me.
