This book was like a breath of fresh air. It was funny, sad, inspiring, informative and engaging all at the same time. I loved the author's dry sense of humour, it balanced the serious moments of the book well.
Yes, the ending was a bit 'happily ever after' but, honestly, why the hell shouldn't it be?
I love how unapologetic Elizabeth Zott was. She said what she was thinking and ignored idiotic behaviours. The way she held herself with confidence and took up space in every room was awe inspiring. The found family aspect between the characters was also beautiful, but also felt realistic. They didn't always agree with one another and made mistakes, but ultimately, still loved each other.
