The Gods Themselves
by Isaac Asimov
Well, I'm not going to say I regret reading this - however, what happened ... to the original plot of the story?? Did I miss it?? I mean - maybe I did who knows.

I don't think I've ever read a book from the 70s - not even the 80s probably- so this is a first. I've heard much about Isaac Asimov and his "Foundation" series but I wasn't in a series mood so I chose this book instead (plus the cover looks really nice). I like books that are more character-driven and this book could not be MORE plot-driven haha. And yet even then what happened to the issue we were talking about for 3/4 of the book??? I'm pretty sure my sleep-deprived brain missed it but it didn't seem like it... plus the weird "twist" at the end was introduced and resolved in like 10 pages lol. Still an interesting read and definitely the most "sci-fi" book I've ever read. 3/5 stars.
