I wanted to like this book more than I did.
A memoir, told in letters to Mr. so and so. Some of the letters I loved. My favorites were Dear Firefighter and Dear Mr. Cabdriver. Others felt forced and I kept think who are you even talking about. It is no question that Mary-Louise Parker is super talented and is a very good writer, but this book felt very uneven and at times a little kitschy. I almost gave up on it but in the end am glad I finished. It is a sweet little book and I read it in two days.
