It's like Parks & Rec as a book, but completely its own thing. Little formatting touches made nice pacing - community board posts and the "Consider, Nat Geo" sections - with nicely balanced tie-in. Maybe the messaging felt a little heavy, or the set-up and conclusion a little formulaic, but it took us to a really nice place and I loved the ride. Flew through it in two days! The names are all tremendous, and the Mike Schur-style townies are great. BestBoyMommy, Jeremy Jamm I mean Jake Zdzynzky, all the Western Mass kids written with a lot of flair but still as deeply human.
