kayleighroyston 's review for:
The Tattooist of Auschwitz
by Heather Morris
Knowing that this is based on a recollection of one man and the horrors he endured during the Holocaust is almost more than one can think of. Knowing what I know about history, I kept waiting for another tragedy, for Gita and Lale to lose one another.
Gita and Lale are a love story we don't know that we need. Faced with insurmountable hardships and more tragedy than anyone should have to bear in their lifetime, their focus on getting through one day, one moment at a time is truly heart wrenching.
I am proud to share their history and support writers who are continuing to share their stories.
