Thank you to Travis Baldree, Pan Macmillan and NetGalley for giving me access to this book in exchange for an honest review.

Look, I’d probably follow Travis Baldree into the abyss at this point. He just knows how to write low-stakes fantasy that still makes your heart flutter. Brigands & Breadknives has that same cozy charm as Legends & Lattes, but this time with a little more grit and spice on the side.

It didn’t sweep me off my feet as much as Bookshops & Bonedust did, but I still thoroughly enjoyed the worldbuilding, warm characters, and the little nibbles of humour throughout. It’s comfort food for the fantasy lover’s soul. With a rogue’s edge.
