The Precious One by Marisa de los Santos

4.0

De los Santos is a master perspective writer. She can make almost all of her characters loveable with just a glimpse into what they are thinking. There was one character in this book, though, that made my stomach churn and despite her not so subtle hints at his roundness of character, I couldn't find any appreciation for his story.
De los Santos is now on my watch list. I'm excited to read anything she puts on the shelf. Her books usually inspire me to read something classic and watch old movies. Not to mention that I want to be best friends with her main characters.
