It was a mixture of plot and characters
in this book everything came to ahead with Gabe and Silvia and they get kidnapped to figure out Gabe's magic. Silvia also finally meets her family and her father and they declare their love.

Gabe and Silvia have been lovable the entire time. Some characters have magic so they are diverse in that way not in a race or ethnicity way. I enjoy CJ Archer's cozy style of writing and she really builds character's arcs throughout her series. I am a fast paced high fantasy reader but I love the slower pace, cozy type of feeling of CJ Archer.
