peggyemi 's review for:
Autumn Alibi
by Jennifer David Hesse
I have enjoyed this series from the very first book and eagerly look forward to each new entry in the series. I seemed to connect with Keli from the very beginning and enjoy the way the author has written her character. She comes across the page as an intelligent, warm, curious, open person. I think the author has done a terrific job growing and developing her character as well as the secondary characters. This time around, we get to visit with the regular cast of secondary characters as well as get introduced to some new ones. I like the way the author surprised me with how the relationship between two secondary characters may be changing. I thought the mystery was well done and it did keep me guessing to a point. I did guess the killer and the reason this person committed the crimes but it did not take away from my enjoyment. Keli is a practicing Wiccan and I do enjoy how the author incorporates this into the stories. For me, it adds to Keli's characters and some of the motivations for why she does something or acts a certain way. I like that the author is writing the character to be more open about her beliefs.
I am looking forward to reading more books in the series and seeing where the author takes the characters and the mysteries. I voluntarily read a digital ARC provided to me by the publisher through Netgalley.
