Engaging Mr. Darcy
by Rachel John
Well that was a nice new version of P&P and I liked it somehow because it was an easy read to add to my list of to-read books and I love the cover. It wasn't so faithful to the real events but it was kind of smooth. The annoying characters were less annoying and less present in this version and it was better. I don't know why but I felt that the main characters were less themselves which means that Darcy was half himself for he was called just "Will", Mr.DARCY becoming just your everyday "Will", thanks god it wasn't Willy! And Elisabeth Bennet was called "Elsie" and I didn't like her so much in this version, she is designing T-shirts! I was like whaaaat the hello?!! Yes an icon of many decades, a woman with such an intellect being just a designer of T-SHIRTS and I don't those who do this job, it's just Elisabeth Bennet come on people!! I put 3 stars because I can't give to J.A's baby a one or two stars, really I love these characters too much to do it .
