A Vow So Bold and Deadly
by Brigid Kemmerer
Emberfall is on the brink of collapse, divided between those who support Rhen as the rightful prince and those backing Grey, the true heir. Grey has given Rhen two months before he attacks.
As Grey’s deadline looms and the two nations inch closer to war, loyalties are tested, love is threatened, and a dangerous enemy comes back.
Overall, I enjoyed this one, the stakes were high, the action was intense, and the progression of the story kept me hooked.
There were a few characters that were pretty 'meh' for me, they did not take anything away, but they didn't add a whole lot either.
I will say, I did not enjoy this book as much as the second in the series, but I think it was a fine conclusion.
