“Being solitary isn't a disease that needs a cure.”

Natasha Pulley is a master storyteller, I'm in awe of how her brain is able to plot storylines the rely so heavily on shifting timelines. I will say that I wasn't as in love with this book as I thought I would be considering how much I loved The Kingdoms.
This book has interesting characters but not a lot of plot, this isn't a massive issue as Natasha's descriptions and world building is extremely immersive. A really lovely mixture of mystery, history and magical realism with a clockwork octopus for good measure.
