This telling of Haytham's story from his perspective shows him in a new light as the morally complex man he was in the Assassin's Creed narrative, especially with regard to his complex relationship with his son Connor and his actions in England involving the Templar Order there. Reading Forsaken lets one understand Assassin's Creed III on a much deeper level but also shows one just how deeply tragic the story of the Kenway family is, from Edward to Haytham to Connor. The final chapter of the book has stayed with me. Read this book and you will see why. I recommend reading Forsaken after playing both Assassin's Creed III and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.
